The flounder was local and sweet. I don't think we will be back. You can also earn points by making purchases with a JetBlue Card or a from MasterCard. The stuffed calamari was very unappealing to the eye. I went there for breakfast recently with my boyfriend. I love the presentation of the dishes here! Parking is a bit tough due to the lot being small but when I went for breakfast today there were a few spots available.
Upon reading the menu you get pretty damn excited, however the execution of said dishes, sometimes make you think you're the one being executed. I've been here several times, but usually stick with the burger so I can't vouch much for their seafood. Located at the end of Nicholls Road on Montauk Hwy, the cafe is extremely easy to get to! Should you still need points for award travel, you can purchase them on the JetBlue TrueBlue website. When asked to be seated we were told the wait time and were surprised! My sons omelette was enormous, had to be more then 2 eggs. My 2nd drink watermelon margarita was really small given the price. I would go for the atmosphere and the Sail Away nitro coffee on tap again, not for the food. I've never had anything that would stop me from coming back.
The lobster roll was good, pretty standard as was the crab cake. I did like that the crab cake was more crab than cake. Everybody loved their meals as well. Service was attentive but we never felt rushed. The omelet was huge and pretty yummy.
It was served with a huge cocktail shrimp, olives, and a sweet gherkin pickle. Their pancakes are creative and dead on. My friend and I each had a glass of wine with our dinners. The prices were a bit high for the area-- I could get something like what I got in the city of the same price and not be off of Montauk highway. I think they did a great job with the renovation, it's so cute inside.
I had the fried shrimp and when I tell you it was cooked perfectly, I'm not kidding! Came here for breakfast and it was super busy but the service was still exceptional. But today there were small flies at the bar and I became violently I'll after eating there. The skirt steak was not worth the price of admission. I'd definitely get that again. Higher fare options award more points per booking. The home made homefries also hit the spot, seasoned well and crispy. Our waitress was super nice and attentive while we were there, and it didn't seem like they had any lack of staffing so you could call someone over at any point if you needed something.
We ordered plenty from salads to burgers to scallops and many appetizers. My friends and I came here as a first stop for my bachelor party as a recommendation from Josh G. . It was creamy and flavorful and we ate it right down to the last spoonful. I hope they do well and stay open for a long time.
Overall it's some place I'll just visit once in the summer, with so many other spots in the area. Such a relaxed vibe with awesome decor! The whole vibe is very laid back and chill, Definitely the perfect coffee house with a full bar! I thought my husband would tackle the waiter when he tried to take the bowl too soon! Can't wait till they make a good Bloody Mary. It was so big she took it home with her and we never bring food back home. Our server was Adrian, she was very attentive and her pleasant demeanor and sweet smile just added to the perfect seafood lunch on the water. Working in the restaurant industry I know that for holidays - especially when there is gorgeous weather! The potatoes were big and delicious. The service was excellent and even the chef came around to see if we were pleased. We sat next to a live tree that grows out of the floor and is decorated with glowing red lights. They were your typical buffalo wings; which I would expect at Buffalo Wild Wings, not a nice restaurant like we were at. I was very happy with our waitress.
Either way, we were able to snag a free spot just around the block. The french toast was perfectly cooked. We split a crab omelet and a croissant egg sandwich dog leg I think it's called. Fun atmosphere and they have live music which is always great. The wait staff was great. My Waitress Holly did a great job serving me. For dinner we shared the stuffed seafood entree that had stuffed flounder, shrimp and baked clams.
